Nichiren Shu Malaysia is a traditional Buddhist Order that is affiliated to Nichiren Shu (日蓮宗). To date, there are currently 2 temples in Malaysia. One temple is located in Klang and the other is Hokkezan
Ichinenji (法華山 一念寺) located in Penang.
Hokkezan Ichinenji was officially established in 5th Feb 2002. Our temple was initially located at Green Lane Heights and in 2008, we moved to the current location at 27, Jalan Pahang, Penang. The name
Hokkezan Ichinenji was derived from Lotus Sutra (法華經) and reminds us to be mindful in our every actions and every thought. In Nichiren Shu, our 3 treasures (三寶) of Buddhism are as follows:
The Eternal Sakyamuni Buddha
The Lotus Sutra
Nichiren Daishonin leading all the priests, nuns and believers
As part of our daily service and practice, we uphold the Four Great Vows of Bodhisattva:
Sentient beings are innumerable;
I vow to save them all.
Our desires are inexhaustible;
I vow to extinguish them all.
The Buddha’s teachings are immeasurable;
I vow to study them all.
The way of the Buddha is unexcelled;
I vow to attain the Path Sublime.
All are welcome to visit our temple and feel free to contact us if you have any enquiries.
